Bisso’s Bakery – Food Review

Thursday night, everybody was in a mood to enjoy the weekend. So we thought we would try a new place. Roaming in downtown, we landed our appetite at the Bisso’s Bakery. Though it may look small at first glance, they have used the space wisely. The interior looks modern especially the wall with the wooden wall with an interesting twist.
We found the ambiance of the restaurant to be calming and welcoming. You can get a plethora of places in the business bay area.

This place may be a gem in the middle. Started just nine months back this restaurant is on its way to make a mark. Coming from a humble background of serving you the best grandma kitchen recipes, we were impressed with their food varieties. We were served with organic Ethiopian specialty coffee of which they are proud of, and they should be. The coffee looked simple, nothing fancy. The taste though was creamy and delicious.

Out of their food variety, we tried Lahim B Ajeen Halabi. It is a kind of pie. We found Baladi the best. As soon as you take a bite, you notice a familiar taste, and pleasantly you realize that it’s meat and pomegranate topping. Next was Double Braid on the table which cuts smoothly from between to show off the zaatar and cheese in the middle. We found the bread of that to be perfect and soft to match our taste. The Vegetarian pizza is worth mentioning here, and a must try for all veg pizza lovers. The same we can confirm for the wrap. In drinks, the chef made us try a simple rose lemonade drink. We found the drink to be refreshing and something different.

After tasting so much food, we didn’t have much space for dessert. But we weren’t planning to leave without it. We asked the chef to surprise us and what we got was certainly a surprise and in right way. We were served Mango Float. The recipe was quite simple but worked wonderfully. Some cream, mango and digestive and that did the trick. Though we were full, we couldn’t stop having that sweet, light dessert. We also tried Bisso’s Buns namely Matcha, Charcoal, and Nutella which were delicious.

Apart for dining in, they also do delivery in Dubai. So, if for some reason you cannot visit them. You can have the same goodness at home. Still, nothing beats the joy of visiting a new place and experiencing it.
